Your privacy choices

Everything below can be done by you, from the app or from your device settings. Nothing here requires you to ask our permission.

Delete your account and everything in it

In the app: Settings → Delete Account.

This permanently deletes your account, your email address, your profile, your avatar and your saved activity. It cannot be undone. If you signed in with Apple, it also removes Jurnaly from your Apple ID. Chapters you contributed to shared stories stay in those stories so they are not left broken mid-way, but they are no longer attributed to you.

Change or correct your details

In the app: Settings → Edit Profile to change your username, bio, location or photo, or clear any of them. Use Settings → Change Email to change the address on your account.

Stop personalised ads

On your device: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, then turn off Allow Apps to Request to Track, or turn off the switch next to Jurnaly.

Turning tracking off does not remove ads, it makes them non-personalised. To remove ads entirely, Jurnaly Premium is ad-free.

Stop notifications

On your device: Settings → Notifications → Jurnaly. Turning notifications off also stops us storing a push token for your device.

Stop photo access

On your device: Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Jurnaly. Photos are only ever read when you choose a profile picture.

Ask for a copy of your data

Email support@jurnaly.com from the address on your account and we will send you what we hold. We aim to reply within two business days.
